Nursing Assistant (NA) Training Program
The Nursing Assistant training program is designed to prepare nursing assistant to care for the elderly and the chronically ill in a long-term nursing skilled facilities. It consists of 17 modules focused on all aspects of resident care, including resident’s rights, body mechanics, taking vital signs and rehabilitative nursing and among others. The program, upon successful completion of all the required mandated 60 hours theory and 100 hours clinical training, prepares the nursing assistant to become eligible to take the State of California Competency examination both Skills and Written exam, a process which will lead to an occupation as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). A certified nursing assistant may be defined as an individual trained to give personal care and assistance, determined by the facilities’ policies, under the supervision of a Licensed Vocational Nurse or by a Registered Nurse in a Skilled nursing facility, Acute, Sub-Acute hospital, or as a Private Duty.

Each CNA class is capped at 15 students. Only people who have completed the enrollment process at least 1 week before the first day of class are considered successfully enrolled in the CNA class.
*Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for enrollment into the CNA and HHA program. Additionally, you must provide copy of negative COVID-19 test result 3 days before registration.
If less than 9 students are enrolled for the CNA class, the class will be postponed. You will be informed when a class will be postponed only if you have successfully completed the enrollment process.
If you have completed majority of the required documents, please call the school to give your status for completion and status of enrolled students. The phone numbers for the school are: (510) 481-0240 and (510) 481-0360. Because your student file is still incomplete, you are not enrolled in the CNA class.
VIP Nursing School is not responsible for the associated fees incurred due to the CNA program like the cost for the physical exam, the TB test, and the live scan fingerprinting services.

Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program
The Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program is a 40 hour course designed to prepare current CNAs to provide health and personal care in a home care setting including client ambulation and exercise, assistance with client medication, reporting changes in client condition and client needs, documentation of clinical reports, and homemaking skills. The program consists of 20 theory hours and 20 hours of supervised clinical training. Upon completion of the program the students receive a Certificate of Completion.
An HHA Certification is issued by the Department of Health Services to those who have successfully completed the course. This course is approved for 26 continuing education units for CNAs.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers
You must be CPR certified before applying for jobs as a healthcare professional. We offer AHA BLS for Providers course every Saturday. It is a one-day class. Please call us at (510) 481-0240 or (510) 481-0360 to sign up for a CPR class. Low enrollment (less than 2 students) will result in class cancellation.
